A third-degree heart block is also called a complete heart block. This type of heart block is considered the worst type of the heart blocks. In our previous videos, we covered first-degree, second-degree type I, and second-degree type II heart blocks.

One of the key characteristics of the third-degree heart block is that the P waves and QRS complexes are not working together as they normally do.
The QRS complexes will be regular, with a regular ventricular rhythm. However, the ventricular rate will be slower due to fewer QRS complexes appearing.
