SBAR nursing example and explanation: Nurse-to-Physician communication for nursing students and nurses.
SBAR is a communication tool that allows nurses and other healthcare professionals to communicate clearly and efficiently. SBAR is an acronym that stands for Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation.
SBAR can be used during nurse-to-nurse report handoffs, nurse-to-physician communication, as well as communication with other healthcare members (physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, etc.).
In this video, Nurse Sarah explains the fundamentals of SBAR, provides an example of nurse-to-physician communication, and more.
