How to measure an infant’s (newborn) chest circumference as a pediatric nursing assessment.
As a pediatric nurse, you’ll perform various health assessments on pediatric patients to ensure they are growing and developing properly. One assessment you’ll perform is the measuring of the chest circumference on an infant / newborn baby.
As a general rule, you’ll want to measure the infant’s chest in centimeters at the nipple line.
