Cephalosporins can be administered via different routes such as parenteral route (IM or IV) or some even orally.

Cephalosporins are bactericidal (kill bacteria) and work by targeting the peptidoglycan layer, which makes up part of the baceria’s cell wall, ultimately leading to rupture and death.
