The brachial artery provides an important pulse point location when checking the pulses or when checking blood pressure readings or when assessing the pulse during CPR in an infant.
The brachial artery divides into the radial and ulnar artery.
This pulse point is located near the top of the cubital fossa region in the arm. To assess it, have the patient extend their arm out with palms facing up.
Then, you can assess the pulse and/or measure the blood pressure.
