Nursing head to toe assessment includes the deep tendon reflex examination of the brachioradialis tendon (C5 to C6) with a reflex hammer. This nursing skills video will show you how to properly elicit a response in the brachioradialis tendon by finding the tendon 2 to 3 cm above styloid process on the wrist. An expected response of the brachioradialis tendon is supination of the hand (palm turning up) and flexion in the forearm.
